You can see there is a country (China) that is really devoted to making the lives of their citizens better. This is something that China has done and this is why it should be the role model for all the other countries in the world.

China is future-oriented. The Party, the leadership of the country, and officials at all levels are working hard for the country's development.

China is really devoted to making the lives of their citizens better

I’ve been following China’s development for a long time. I came to China in 2011 for my first visit to the country. It was a two-week journey of a tour group scheduled by a Chinese association for international exchange. We visited the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other places, and what was specially highlighted in the visit was the fight against the impoverishment of the Chinese people. So it was very easy for me to learn what they had achieved in the battle against poverty over the past ten years. China had taken various activities and gradually lifted the poverty line. By 2011, tens of millions of people under the poverty line had got off extreme poverty. This is a tremendous success of China.

The most impressive is that almost everything happened during the COVID pandemic about three years ago, which had caused many problems to the international community. So this is what impressed me the most because you know when I was there -- such a vast territory and so many people -- you can see there is a country that is really devoted to making the lives of their citizens better. This is something that China has done and this is why it should be the role model for all the other countries in the world.

Why has China achieved so impressive development over the last decade? It was for my doctoral thesis, I also got into the history of China from the beginning of the 20th century. I realized how important the Communist Party of China and their ideas and ideals are -- all for making a better life for the people, all citizens of China. When I was visiting the National Museum of China in Beijing, I saw that magnificent painting about the founding fathers of the Party meeting for the first time and I felt it was really great that those great minds decided to set up the Communist Party of China. A major event last year was the celebration for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Tremendous changes have taken place in China over the past hundred years. China, an underdeveloped country at the beginning of the 20th century, is now a leading country in the world. This is really great success for the Party, the most successful party in the world, I would say.

China is future-oriented. The Party, the leadership of the country, and officials at all levels are working hard for the country’s development. They have put forward many excellent ideas, especially the Belt and Road Initiative -- first proposed by President Xi Jinping at the beginning of 2013, which will boost cooperation between China and central and eastern European countries.

Now we also see that President Xi is moving forward with a set of goals for the development of the entire community, and this is something surplus to all these ideas. All these ideas are aimed at further developing China.Not only China, but the entire world. A basic problem in the world today is that there is no enough cooperation and no true wish to pursue multilateralism. This is something that China is doing actively, and this is good, because I know that it is possible to create a better future. None of us is alone in this world and cooperation is very important.
